Bridal Creative Featured in Hello May Magazine
The first time I ever saw a Hello May Magazine, I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was: the paper quality, the imagery, the vendors, and the inspiration. I’ve never looked at a bridal magazine that memorized me the way this one did. So what a wonderful surprise that our Copper & Linen shoot was to not only be possibly in the blog but instead to find out we’d had been accepted in the print magazine! Luckily, my sister living in Australia could bring me back a few couples with her just in time for the release.
Copper and brassy metallics have been popping up more and more in home decor and furniture that I wanted to play with shiny metallics, exposed wood with the fragility of floral petals, flowing fabrics and lace.
Styled by Bisous Events, the Copper & Linen photoshoot started with being inspired by the mix of hard and soft, shiny and textured. The moody, romantic shoot captured by Alyssa Wodabek combined the soft colour palette of blush, ivory, lilac, gold and copper.
Lush and romantic floral bouquet, boutonniere and arrangements created by Ashley Elaine play off the warm, rustic architecture of this historic building in downtown Toronto. Inviting details such as the gold cutlery, vintage gold-leaf plates, and gold trimmed stemware rentals by Plate Occasions, and Art Deco chairs with harvest table add timeless charm, while the copper-foiled stationary suite created by Castlefield Designs lends modern simplicity.
Lang Models, Justin Robitaille and Alyssa Mabley ooze natural chemistry as groom and bride in this intimate video by One Heart Films. The bride is wearing custom gowns by Maureen Patricia Bridal, raw diamond engagement ring by Look at the Moon, earrings and crown by The Loved One and veil by Posh Veils. Hair by Puzzle Creations and makeup from The Look Bridal perfectly complement both each other and the bride’s gorgeous features and red hair. Our groom is sporting a refined, hand-made tie and pocket square by Tytan Ties and a custom tailored suit by Indochino with perfect copper lining and stitching.
I love nothing more than a cake display with many little cakes rather than 1 large one and Crumb and Berry did not disappoint supplying lots of delicate copper cakes and desserts.
This shoot was such a magical styled shoot and such a pleasure to work along side some of the top Toronto wedding vendors. Thank you so much to everyone apart of our Copper & Linen shoot!
